Our History:

St. Patrick Episcopal Church is a mission adventure of the Episcopal Diocese of Ohio. We began this mission August 1, 1999 under the leadership of the Diocesan New Work Committee and the Reverend John M. Atkins, priest and pastor of St. Patrick's. The foundation of our faith and head of the church is Jesus of Nazareth, the Christ of God. Our understanding of Christian teachings depends upon three basic pillars: Scripture, tradition and reason (thought). We believe that all people are God's children. People who desire to follow the teachings and examples and witness of Christ Jesus are called Christians. Christians are members of Christ's body, the Church, through commitment of faith in Christ Jesus and baptism "in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." All Christians have a particular calling (ministry) in living out their baptism.

The Episcopal Church in the United States of America is part of the 77 million-member worldwide Anglican Communion, a group of separate church entities choosing to be in relationship with one another through Common Prayer rather than doctrinal agreement.
